TRAINING AGENTS: Tourism Ireland targets top-producing graduates of its Shamrock Club destination-specialist program with a series of sales calls, presentations and evening events set to run in six U.S. urban markets from June 16 to 20. The "Shamrock Trail" promotional aims at boosting bookings for the rest of 2003 from the Boston, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, southern California and Washington/Baltimore/Philadelphia areas. The promotion will entail sales calls and presentations at Shamrock Club member offices, as well as themed "Irish evenings" in each market. The Shamrock Club program, first launched five years ago, now counts 7,500 members.
