HOLLAND AMERICA LINE will move one of its newest ships, the Oosterdam, into the Mexican Riviera market during 2005. The Oosterdam will sail 25 seven-day itineraries, plus one five-day cruise, from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan. The ship will leave the Caribbean to begin its San Diego engagement on Jan. 22 and will offer winter, spring and fall departures. In addition, the Ryndam, which is slated to sail seven-day cruises to the Mexican Riviera this fall, will begin offering 10-day cruises to the Mexican Riviera and the Sea of Cortez Jan. 3.

PLEASANT HOLIDAYS and two resorts in Ixtapa, the Radisson Resort Ixtapa and NH Krystal Ixtapa, launched a free nights promotion. At the Radisson Resort Ixtapa, a four-night, land-only package (with the fourth night free) starts $177 per person, double, reflecting a savings of $102 per couple. Travel dates are through June 30 and from Sept. 1 to Nov. 15. In addition, children 11 and younger stay free in their parents' room. At the NH Krystal Ixtapa, a four-night, land-only package (with the fourth night free) starts at $144 per person, double, representing a savings of $80 per couple. RUNAWAY is promoting discounted summer rates at several Los Cabos all-inclusive resorts. At the Melia Cabo Real, for example, four-night packages start at $704; in addition, kids 12 and younger stay and eat for free. At the Presidente Intercontinental Los Cabos, rates start at $612. All rates are per person, double, and include roundtrip air fare and airport transfers, all meals, beverages, some activities, and all gratuities and taxes. • Responding to demand, ATA Airlines said it plans to add six weekly flights between Chicago (Midway) and Guadalajara, effective June 10. The new service will increase the number of weekly flights between the two cities from seven to 13. ATA began service to Guadalajara in 2001 with one daily flight from Chicago. Service to Guadalajara from Chicago is provided aboard a 757-200 aircraft.
• America West launched one daily roundtrip flight between Los Angeles and Puerto Vallarta. The nonstop flights depart Los Angeles at 11:30 a.m. and arrive in Puerto Vallarta 4:30 p.m. On the return, the flights depart Puerto Vallarta at 5 p.m. and arrive in Los Angeles at 6 p.m.
• Frontier Airlines unveiled an $89 one-way promotion between Denver and Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo. Fares must be purchased by midnight EST on June 15 for travel through Oct. 9. A roundtrip purchase is required. The flights operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
