U.S. Attack's Impact on Travel Unclear

WASHINGTON -- U.S. armed forces attacked terrorist- related facilities in Sudan and Afghanistan on Aug. 20 in retailiation for the bombings of two U.S. embassies in East Africa, U.S. government officials said.

It was unclear what impact the attacks, and any possible subsequent actions, would have on travel. The U.S. State Department on Aug. 16 had issued a Worldwide Caution to all Americans traveling abroad.
