UAL, All Nippon add code share

HONOLULU -- United Airlines and All Nippon Airways will begin operating flights between Osaka and Honolulu on March 30.

The code-share agreement enables United, whose aircraft sit idle on the tarmac at Osaka's Kansai every night after landing from San Francisco, to resume service between Honolulu and Kansai for the first time since 1998.

All Nippon Airways will reassign its aircraft to the Osaka-Shanghai route, where it plans to double the number of flights.
