United launches second Chicago-Mexico City flight

CHICAGO -- United Airlines launched a second daily flight between Chicago and Mexico City.

The new flight departs Chicago at 5:55 p.m. and arrives in Mexico City at 9:50 p.m. The return flight departs Mexico City at 10:40 a.m. and arrives in Chicago at 2:30 p.m.

The service is operated aboard a 757 with room for 24 customers in first class and 158 in economy class.

The aircraft features 50 seats in United's new Economy Plus section, which offers up to five additional inches of legroom.

It is available to customers who have achieved Premier status in United's Mileage Plus program as well as to Star Alliance Gold and Silver members, and all customers traveling on full-fare economy class tickets.

United's other daily flight to Mexico City from Chicago departs Chicago at 10:05 a.m. and arrives in Mexico City at 2:01 p.m. The return flight departs Mexico City at 3 p.m. and arrives in Chicago at 6:53 p.m.
