Universal Express aims to shorten lines at park

ORLANDO -- Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure here introduced Universal Express, a program designed to give priority admission to guests who buy either a two- or three-day Escape Pass or the Orlando Flexticket.

The program, instituted in response to Walt Disney World's automated Fastpass system, aims to reduce lines for those with priority admission to no more than 15 minutes.

In effect April 1 to Sept. 4 from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. daily, Universal Express will encompass select rides and attractions. There is no additional cost.

Two-day Escape Passes cost $84.95 plus tax for visitors ages 10 and older; $69.95 plus tax for those ages 3 to 9. Three-day passes cost $99.95 plus tax and $79.95 plus tax, respectively.
