VANCOUVER -- VRX Worldwide said it plans to launch a series of
destination-oriented Web sites -- under the Xplore brand -- using
Expedia's WWTE technology as the private-label booking engine.
VRX, which provides suppliers and online agencies with an array
of digital imagery -- including virtual tours and interactive maps
-- will provide the visual content for the series of Web sites.
Xplore Las Vegas at www.xplorelasvegas.com is live and VRX,
headquartered here, plans to launch "dozens" of similar sites,
focused on destinations in North America, Europe and Asia, on a
monthly basis, the company said.
VRX already partners with Expedia, providing photographic
content to Expedia.com.
Expedia now will provide the Xplore sites with air, hotel, car,
vacation packages and tour inventory.
