VacationLand fams offer Malaysia and choice of Bali or Thailand

SAN FRANCISCO -- VacationLand, a member of the U.S. Tour Operators Association based here, is operating two fams that combine Malaysia with either Bali or Thailand.

Both fams include roundtrip international economy class air on Malaysia Airlines out of Los Angeles, daily breakfast, roundtrip airport transfers and sightseeing in an air-conditioned coach.

The land portion of the company's 10-day Malaysia and Bali program, which departs Oct. 2 and Jan. 22, begins with a two-night stay at Avillion Village Resort in Port Dickson, Malaysia, and a half-day city tour.

Port Dickson is a popular beach resort located about 40 miles south of Kuala Lumpur. After Port Dickson, the tour travels to Bali for a five-night stay, including a full-day tour with a Barong dance performance.

The Bali segment of the program includes three open days for agents to spend at their leisure. The operator has not finalized accommodations in Bali. The fam ends with an overnight at Avillion Village Resort.

VacationLand's nine-day Malaysia and Thailand fam, which departs Nov. 13 and March 18, begins with a transpacific flight to Kuala Lumpur and then an immediate connection to Bangkok for a four-night stay.

VacationLand has yet to finalize accommodations in Bangkok, but the program there calls for a half-day city and temple tour and a Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha tour as well as a free day for leisure activities.

After Bangkok, the tour travels back to Kuala Lumpur for a three-night stay at Avillion Village Resort.

The cost of either fam is $899, based on twin-share accommodations. The companion rate is $999.

The single supplement charge for the program that includes Bali is $295. The single supplement for the Thailand program is $265.

To qualify for the program, travel agents must send in full payment on an agency check along with copies of their passport and Iatan card.
