Vail property changes name, begins $4M upgrade

VAIL, Colo. -- To better reflect ongoing upgrades to the property, the Vail Cascade Resort here changed its name to Vail Cascade Resort & Spa.

In May, the resort will embark upon a $4 million renovation and expansion project with the construction of the Aria Spa & Club.

The 10,000-square-foot expansion will add a luxury spa within the resort's existing fitness facility, which includes a small spa area. The new spa is slated to open this fall.

The Aria Spa & Club will feature the Sanctuary, a welcome area with a stone fireplace and oversized chairs.

The completed spa facility will encompass 14 treatment rooms, a couple's spa suite, a boutique and aromatherapy steam rooms.

As part of the renovation of the 50,000-square-foot fitness facility, guests will have access to a weight room, cardiovascular equipment, sports courts and a running track as well as fitness classes.

During the renovation, the existing spa area will be relocated within the resort and will continue to offer a complete menu of treatments.
