Visitor slots fill up fast at Althorp

NORTHAMPTON, England -- Althorp House in Northampton, the ancestral home of the late Princess Diana and the place where she is buried, is gaining in popularity.

Advance bookings are ahead of where they were this time last year, according to Althorp officials, with more than 900 visitor slots already having been allocated to motorcoach visitors in July and August.

In addition to viewing the princess' burial place, visitors can tour the house and see the princess' bridal gown and an exhibit about The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund.

Admission is about $15.

Northampton is located about two hours north of London. More information is available at the Web site or by e-mailing [email protected].
