Walt Disney, Visa sign marketing deal

BURBANK, Calif. -- The Walt Disney Company and Visa signed a marketing deal that includes the first co-branded Visa card with Disney rewards. The card will be issued and managed by Wilmington, Del.-based Bank One.

The Visa-Disney alliance will begin Jan. 1 with marketing initiatives starting in the first half of 2003.

Meanwhile, Disney's marketing alliance with American Express will end at the end of the year. While American Express will no longer sponsor exhibits at Disney parks, American Express' travel divisions will continue to sell and promote Disney products, a Disney spokeswoman said.
