WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Water Country USA, which features rides,
slides, entertainment, dining and shopping set in a '50s and '60s
surf theme, added two attractions for this season.
"Rockin' Boppin' Birds" debuted at Caban-A-Rama Theater during
the park's May 5 opening.
The show features a variety of birds, from parrots and macaws to
ducks and storks.
A highlight of the show is a free-flying condor, one of only a
handful in the U.S, according to the park's Web site.
Scheduled to debut June 16, also at the Caban-A-Rama Theater, is
"Jump, Dive and Splash," a high-dive and gymnastics show.
The park, which has been open on weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
since its opening day, will open for daily business on May 28.
The park will keep the same hours on a daily basis until June
16, when the hours of operation will be extended to 8 p.m. Those
hours will be in effect through Aug. 12. From Aug. 13 to 26, the
park will stay open until 7 p.m. It will return to the 6 p.m. close
A one-day admission to Water Country USA is priced at $28.99 for
adults and $21.99 for children ages 3 to 6.
The park also offers the following ticket plans:The Summer Sizzler Passport, priced at $59.99 per person. The
passport includes unlimited admission to Water Country USA through
Aug. 31.The 3Day/2Park Flex Ticket, at $64.99 per person, is valid for
any three days during the season. This includes admission to Water
Country USA and Busch Gardens Williamsburg.The 2Day/2Park Flex Ticket, at $49.99 per person. This also
includes admission to Water Country USA and Busch Gardens
Williamsburg and is valid any two days within a 14-day period.
