Windsor to open Las Vegas Embassy Suites in fall

LAS VEGAS -- Windsor Hospitality Group's 277-suite, 11-story Embassy Suites Hotel is due to open this fall. The multimillion dollar non-gaming hotel will be called Embassy Suites-Las Vegas-Convention Center/Paradise Road, according to officials with its parent company, the Los Angeles-based Windsor Hospitality.

The facility, which is nearby the Las Vegas Convention Center, will have a 6,000-square-foot atrium, 8,000 square feet of meeting space and 2,000 square feet of boardroom-style meeting space.

The hotel is in response to the area's need for quieter, more relaxed, nongaming hotels, according to Patrick Nesbitt, Windsor's chairman. "Quality nongaming hotels in Las Vegas are realizing extremely high occupancies and above average daily rates," he said.

"As the largest and most luxurious all-suite hotel near the convention center, our Embassy Suites will raise the bar when it comes to the overall guest experience."

Windsor is one of the largest developers of Embassy Suites hotels in the U.S. The new hotel will be Windsor's second in the area. In July of 1997, Windsor Hospitality Group opened the Hawthorn Suites, an extended-stay property along the Las Vegas Strip. Windsor Hospitality owns and/or manages 21 hotels representing 4,431 rooms and suites in nine states.
