Winter trade winds blow to Mexico, the Caribbean

ith winter and the season for warm-weather vacations approaching, it seemed timely to conduct an online survey to sample agents' opinions on Mexico and Caribbean destinations.

There are three main draws for Mexico as a vacation spot, according to the 805 agents we polled: economical or value travel (chosen by 69% of survey respondents), romance/wedding/honeymoon travel (64%) and family travel (64%).

Yet a majority of agents do not see an increase in consumer interest in Mexico other than its beaches.

When it comes to the topic of the Caribbean, over the next two years agents predict an increase in such Caribbean niches as family travel (picked by 63% of agents), honeymooners (57%) and spas (51%).
