Yosemite Park hotels offer 'White Sale' through March

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif. -- Yosemite National Park is offering a Winter White Sale on hotel packages through March 30.

Rates under the program include discounts at three Yosemite Park hotels as well as more than 50% savings on ski lift tickets at the park's Badger Pass ski resort. The sale is available Sundays through Thursdays, excluding holidays.

Under the plan, a two-night package for a family of four at Curry Village, for example, is priced from $79 per room, per night for a cabin with a bath.

Rates cover accommodations, four all-day Badger Pass lift tickets and roundtrip transportation to the slopes.

The package also is available from $89 per room, per night at the Yosemite Lodge in Yosemite Valley and at the Wawona Hotel in Southern Yosemite. A 10% charge for room tax is not included in the rates.

The resort at Badger Pass, the oldest ski resort in California, is known for its family-friendly array of winter sports, including snowboarding, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

The terrain, which offers nine runs designed for novices and intermediates, is served by one triple-chair lift and three double-chair lifts. Badger Pass also features 90 miles of marked cross-country ski trails.

Nonskiers can try guided snowshoeing, ice-skating at an outdoor rink, sightseeing and free daily photography walks led by local experts.
