Insider had always heard how friendly the folks were in Branson, Mo., but only recently did we reach out and get touched by a friendly soul. While attempting to dial a number in Branson, Insider mistakenly reached a private residence. The recipient of the wrong-number call, a woman, valiantly tried to help us by suggesting we dial the same four last digits but try a succession of exchanges such as 335, 336 and 337 -- all common exchanges in the Branson area. She then bade us good luck and wished us a Merry Christmas. Insider, used to being growled at, hung up on or otherwise denigrated when we dial in error, thought it was one of the nicest wrong-number conversations we have ever had. Happy New Year, ma'am.
