Commerce Secretary Gary Locke has named the 11 travel industry representatives who will sit on the board of directors of the new Corporation for Travel Promotion.

Congratulations to all.

This is about six months from the signing of the Travel Promotion Act on March 4. That's not bad by government standards, but with all due respect to the board members and with full awareness of the complexity of setting up a company that will eventually have a $200 million budget, we do hope we can pick up the pace.
