The schedule for ASTA's western regional conference in Reno/Sparks, Nev., looks pretty routine, but one feature stands out as a bit out of the ordinary. The ASTA agents attending the conference are being offered an optional excursion to the Mustang Ranch, Nevada's best-known legal brothel. Conference chairman Dick Epping, in his write-up in the NorCal chapter newsletter, calls it "a walk on the wild side," and ASTA area director Sheila Hyman wrote that she can't wait for the tour -- "all part of the educational process." No word on whether the Mustang Ranch pays agent commission, has an override plan or will host more such fam tours. Look in this space in early April for a report on the ASTA agents' tour of the "ranch."
