New York is doing something right. In fact, the city is apparently doing a lot of things right, judging by its ever-increasing visitor totals and its attractiveness to hoteliers.
As we note in this issue's cover story, New York's travel and tourism business is booming, and its hotel industry is thriving at all price points, in all boroughs.
New York is clearly not the only big city -- in the U.S. or abroad -- enjoying a renaissance, but it's the American capital of the arts, culture and commerce. Travel and tourism has to thrive here if it is to thrive anywhere. When New York does well, it bodes well for us all.
And New York is, we are happy to report, doing very well, thank you.
