Hyatt Hotels marked the May 20 opening of the Parisi Udvar Hotel Budapest as part of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt, following a full-scale restoration and renovation.

The hotel, which features 110 guestrooms, is managed by Mellow Mood Hotels and is the fourth property in Europe to join the Unbound Collection by Hyatt.

The property is situated on Ferenciek Square, between the Danube and the city center in a historical building that has been in turns a Paris-influenced department store and a bank.

The hotel, which incorporates elements of Arabic, Moorish and Gothic design, was created by Hungarian contemporary artist Agnes Toth, and it retains its original facade, staircases and decorative tiles.

Guestrooms feature tailor-made, Hungarian-crafted furnishings, and the lobby showcases the property's original iconography, including the Central Savings Bank honeybee mascot.

There are 18 suites and two Royal Residencies, including the Budapest Residence situated at the top of the hotel, which provides guests with views of the city and a private terrace.

There are two dining options, the Parisi Passage Cafe & Brasserie for international cuisine and an extensive wine list, and the Patisserie & Cafe, which also serves as a cocktail bar in the evenings.

Other amenities include the Zafir Spa, a fully-equipped fitness center and extensive meetings and event spaces.

The hotel is offering an inaugural Big Break promotion that trims up to 20% on seven-day advance bookings for stays through Sept. 2.
