Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has made its debut in Scotland with the official opening of the Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel in Edinburgh.

The 184-room property comprises seven interconnected Georgian town houses, part of a Unesco World Heritage Site and offering views of Edinburgh Castle.

Set in the Georgian New Town Square, the property also houses No. 33, a 15-suite hotel within a hotel that can be booked separately and can accommodate up to 24 guests.

Eateries include the Garden, an all-day restaurant, and BABA, which offers meze sharing dishes and a robust cocktail menu.

Other amenities include a state-of-the-art gym, full-service spa, in-room yoga mats, on-request travel essentials and a daily social hour at BABA's bar.

Rates for double rooms at the Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel start at $230.

The Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel is the second U.K. opening for the brand following the debut of the Kimpton Fitzroy London in October. Properties are set to open in Glasgow, Scotland, and Manchester, England, later this year.
