The St. Moritz Gourmet Festival, held in January, hosts epicures for a weeklong smorgasbord of gourmet dinners and culinary safaris as well as tasting menus and wine celebrations, including the always-addictive Chocolate Cult with its chocolate fountains and inventive confections.
The festival's all-night Kitchen Party takes place at Badrutt's Palace, where guests convene in the hotel kitchens amid sizzling saucepans and a convivial atmosphere marked by live music and free-flowing Champagne.
This year's festival featured nine Japanese chefs for a culinary extravaganza with the theme of "Yokoso Nippon." A record-breaking 4,500 guests grazed through 40 events, including the sold-out Grand Julius Baer opening at the Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains.
The 24th annual St. Moritz Gourmet Festival will take place from Jan. 30 to Feb. 3, with master chefs from the U.S. invited to the upper Engadin.
Advance booking for the 2017 St. Moritz Gourmet Festival commences on Dec. 1. The latest news can be found on the festival website.
