London will be hit with rail and Tube strikes this week.

Four unions that serve the London Underground staff are scheduled to walk out for 24 hours from 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, according to Transport For London.

At the same time, First Great Western train drivers plan to stage a 48-hour strike on services between the southwest area and London.

The Tube workers are striking due to wage disputes; the rail workers are walking to protest job threats and services from a new train fleet.

Transport For London advised the public to follow updates @TflTravelAlerts on Twitter.
