British Columbia lodge offers bald eagle viewing

Each winter, Brackendale, British Columbia, plays host to one of the largest gatherings of bald eagles in North America, and the Sunwolf lodge there offers a daily eagle-viewing float trip down the Cheakamus River through mid-February.

The float trip is priced at $100 per adult and $65 per child under age 12 and includes lunch, use of raingear and safety equipment and the services of a professional river guide. Soar with the Eagles, priced at $115 per adult and $70 per child, combines the float trip with a gondola ride and light food and drink at the hotel afterward.

In addition, the float trip can be combined with overnight accommodations in one of the lodge's 10 riverside cabins for the Soar and Stay package, valid through the same period and priced at $295 per night, based on double occupancy.
