Cliveden House, One Aldwych design London theater package

Cliveden House, in Berkshire, England, just outside of London, and One Aldwych in London have partnered to offer the Stephen Ward Theater Break plan in celebration of the opening of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical "Stephen Ward" at the Aldwych Theatre in London. "Stephen Ward" tells the story of the man who introduced British Secretary of State for War John Profumo to showgirl Christine Keeler while living in Cliveden's Spring Cottage; Profumo and Keeler had an affair at Cliveden House which led to the resignation of Profumo and Prime Minister MacMillan in 1963. The plan is priced from $890 per person, double, and is valid on Thursdays at Cliveden House and Fridays at One Aldwych or Saturdays at One Aldwych and Sundays at Cliveden House through March 1. At Cliveden House, the cost covers deluxe double accommodations, a three-course dinner at Andre Garrett, breakfast and a guided tour of the property detailing locations of the Profumo scandal; at One Aldwych, it includes cocktails in the Lobby Bar, a three-course pretheater dinner in the hotel's Axis or Indigo restaurants, breakfast and accommodations in either a deluxe room or a circular studio suite.
