Zicasso designs Thailand, Vietnam tour highlighting origins of Sriracha

Zicasso is offering the 14-night Sriracha Tour: A Culinary Journey to Thailand and Vietnam to explore the origins of the spicy sauce as well as Thai and Vietnamese cuisine.

Traveling from Bangkok and Chiang Mai in Thailand to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, the package is priced from $3,675 per person, double, for the Thailand portion and $2,720 for the Vietnam portion.

The cost covers seven nights' accommodations in each country, two flights within Vietnam and tours, activities and meals as per the itinerary.

Flights between Thailand and Vietnam are included when a full, 14-night itinerary is booked.

Highlights of the tour in Thailand include meeting Lakut Suwanprasop, the son of the original creator of Sriracha sauce, and learning how to make your own sauce during a private lesson in Si Racha, the birthplace of the sauce; meals at three restaurants listed in 2018 Michelin Guide for Bangkok; and Thai cooking lessons in Chiang Mai.

Highlights in Vietnam include a private coffee tasting at a plantation in Hanoi; a multicourse dinner at Ben Xuan Garden House accompanied by a member of the former imperial family; a cooking class in Hoi An; and visits to microbreweries in Hanoi.
