Japan crisis could affect car rental supply in Europe

Suspension of the production of car parts in Japan could prevent European car rental fleets from increasing sufficiently this summer, said Auto Europe.

Auto Europe noted that several European car manufacturers rely on technology and parts from Japan.

The company’s president, Eric Ledroux, recommends that summer travelers book early.

"When availability gets tighter and at the same time the demand is still increasing, this means that there is a high chance that prices for rental cars will increase drastically very soon," said Ledroux.
