On May 12, the Oahu Visitors Bureau announced the continuation of its Travel Pink, Travel Oahu campaign in support of the fight against breast cancer.

A joint venture between the OVB and several industry partners offering visitors travel packages that benefit the Hawaii affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the campaign has helped raise more than $80,000 since its inception in 2006.

"Travel Pink, Travel Oahu gives travelers an opportunity to experience a fantastic Hawaiian vacation, while simultaneously supporting an important cause locally," said Noelani Schilling-Wheeler, senior director of sales and marketing for the Oahu Visitors Bureau.

"A wide variety of tropical outdoor activities, a melting pot of arts and culture, enriching Hawaiian and American history, unique wellness treatments, tantalizing culinary experiences and a warm, friendly people full of the 'aloha spirit' -- that's the 'so much more Hawaii' that Travel Pink offers along with providing people a reason to travel and give back."

The current list of participating Oahu properties includes the Hyatt Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa, Aqua Hotels & Resorts, the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa, the Halekulani, the Waikiki Parc Hotel and the Royal Hawaiian.
