The Honolulu Festival offers visitors a weekend packed with free events showcasing the best of Asia, the Pacific Rim and, of course, Hawaii.

Held over three days, this year's festival, titled "Heart of the Pacific, Creating Our Future," runs from March 13 to 15 and includes dance performances and traditional art demonstrations from Australia, Japan and the Philippines. The festivities will also include performances by the "Obama Girls," a hula group from Obama, Japan.

The three-day schedule of activities ends with a parade through Waikiki that will feature a Japanese fire-spitting dragon.

The festival's events take place at various locations in the heart of Honolulu and Waikiki. Organizers are expecting more than 4,700 visitors to attend this year's events.
