The 15-acre Andaz Maui at Wailea, the Andaz brand’s first resort, has rescheduled its opening for this summer.
Fronting south Maui’s Mokapu Beach, the 297-room property, which will include three- to five-room residential villas, a 15,000-square-foot spa and a collection of cascading infinity pools, had previously announced a spring opening.
The resort will also feature two full-service restaurants, including Morimoto Maui, the second Hawaii location for renowned Japanese chef Masaharu Morimoto.
“Andaz Maui at Wailea bridges the character of Hawaii with the experiences travelers seek when they visit great destinations around the world: personalized, uncomplicated service and a rich understanding of the local neighborhood,” Michael Stephens, general manager of the Andaz Maui at Wailea, said in a statement.
Owned by Hyatt, the Andaz brand currently includes hotels in New York, Shanghai, London, Amsterdam and West Hollywood, Calif.
