Canadian carrier WestJet and Delta Air Lines announced the start of an interline agreement Feb. 7.

The deal enables customers from the two airlines to purchase connecting flights on one ticket, receive boarding passes for all segments of their trip at first check-in, and tag their baggage through the final destination.

WestJet and Delta customers are now able to connect flights on both airlines at Maui’s Kahului Airport and Honolulu Airport.

“This news today demonstrates that we continue to deliver on our strategic plan to establish partnerships with airlines from around the world,” Hugh Dunleavy, WestJet’s executive vice president of strategy and planning, said in a statement.
