Available seats on nonstop flights between gateway cities on the U.S. mainland and Hawaii are forecast to climb 4% year over year during the three-month period ending Nov. 30.

The Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) is expecting a 4.1% increase in lift from its largest source market, U.S. states west of the Rockies, while calling for 3.4% growth in seats on nonstop flights arriving to the Islands from the U.S. East.

Double-digit seat increases are expected from San Francisco, up nearly 22%; Seattle, up 14.6%; and New York Kennedy, up nearly 10%.

The HTA is forecasting total airlift to Hawaii will improve 4.5% during the period, thanks in part to a 2.2% increase in seats from Japan, the Aloha State’s largest international market.
