Titled simply "The Big Easy," the Kahala Hotel & Resort's Food & Wine Classic on June 12 and 13 will feature renowned chef and TV personality Emeril Lagasse.

The weekend kicks off with "The Essence of Emeril," an opening-night dinner from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Held outdoors on the Kahala o Ke Kai Lawn, the evening will feature Cajun and Creole cuisine along with a selection of fine wines and cigars. The event costs $250 per person.

On June 13, from 11 a.m. to noon, food lovers can take in a cooking demonstration in the Kahala Hotel's Maile Ballroom. Lagasse will again focus on New Orleans, with an emphasis on beignets and chicory coffee. Following the demonstration, Lagasse will be available to answer audience questions. The event is $100 per person.

The Kahala Hotel & Resort is offering a fourth-night-free special that includes dinner at the "Essence of Emeril" event June 12.
