Interisland carrier Go Airlines will begin additional nonstop jet service between Hawaii’s four largest airports later this summer, beginning with two new flights scheduled to debut Aug. 2 between Honolulu and Kahului, on Maui.

Hoping to attract visitors and residents, an airline spokesman said, “the new scheduling additions offer more opportunities for business travelers to put in a full day of work and more flexibility for families traveling these segments.”

The airline also will add an evening flight between Honolulu and Kona on the weekends starting Aug. 4 and new nonstop jet service between Kahului and Lihue on Kauai on weekends beginning Sept. 5.

Go is a subsidiary of New Mexico-based Mesa Airlines, which operates 77 aircraft and 419 daily departures across 35 states and Mexico.
