Interisland carrier Go Mokulele reported a load factor of 74.4% for its July flights, .5% better than the same month last year.

However, the airline carried fewer passengers year over year, transporting a total of 68,967 customers, or nearly 5% fewer than in July 2009.

Available seat miles also sank 13.7% for the month, while revenue passenger miles fell 13.1% year over year.

"We are encouraged by the continued improvement in the travel market this summer," Jonathan Ornstein, CEO of parent company Mesa Air Group, said in a statement.
