The Hawaii Visitors and Conventions Bureau (HVCB) has named Erica Neves its manager of travel trade marketing.

A 20-year tourism marketing and public relations veteran, Neves will focus on implementing the HVCB’s travel trade marketing efforts while overseeing Neighbor Island Chapter integration in all of the organization’s major initiatives. She will also develop and coordinate travel trade events and training, including trade shows, sales blitzes and webinars.

Neves worked previously as the director of corporate communications for Castle Resorts & Hotels and the regional communications manager for Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Hawaii.

“We are pleased to welcome Erica to the HVCB ‘ohana [family] as her expansive industry
knowledge will be an outstanding asset to our travel trade team,” said Robyn Basso, the HVCB’s senior director of travel industry partnerships, in a statement. “Her diverse background in tourism marketing will play a key role in continuing to optimize HVCB’s various leisure and sales platforms.”
