Hawaii Forest & Trail, an activity provider based on the Big Island of Hawaii, has announced two new private waterfall tours.
The new products, Swim Kohala Waterfalls and Hilo Tropical Waterfalls, offer guests new activity options on both the Big Island’s eastern and northwest coasts.
Departing from Hawaii Forest & Trail’s headquarters in Hawi, the Swim Kohala Waterfalls tour transports guests onto private land onboard a six-wheeled Pinzgauer military transport vehicle and features some off-road adventure before a family-friendly hike and the chance to swim under a private waterfall. Light refreshments are included in the three-hour tour, which starts at $89 a person.
Meanwhile, guests opting for the Hilo Tropical Waterfalls outing will depart from the operator’s Hilo headquarters and head for a 1,000-acre tropical fruit farm on the Big Island’s windward coast. Guests will enjoy a locally sourced lunch with views of scenic waterfalls before a chance to swim, stand up paddle, or kayak under a private, 120-foot waterfall. The three-and-a-half-hour tour starts at $129 a person.
“Our exclusive access to many of Hawaii Island's most stunning waterfall wonders is an experience we are excited to share with our guests,” Rob Pacheco, the Hawaii Forest & Trail president and founder, said in a statement. “Swimming under and around these beautiful waterfalls is something everyone should check off their bucket list.”
Hawaii Forest & Trail was founded in 1993 and today offers ziplining adventures along with tours of Volcanoes National Park, Maunakea stargazing outings, and specialized bird tours.
