Hawaii Superferry has appointed Thomas Fargo president and CEO, and demoted John Garibaldi to vice chairman. Garibaldi will continue to serve on Hawaii Superferry's board of directors.
Fargo, a Hawaii resident for the past nine years, is a retired admiral of the U.S. Navy. He has served as both the commander of the U.S. Pacific command and as commander-in-chief of the U.S. Pacific fleet.
In addition to his responsibilities as a managing director of J.F. Lehman & Company (a major investor in Hawaii Superferry), Fargo is a member of the boards of Hawaiian Airlines, Hawaiian Electric Industries and USAA.
Hawaii Superferry operates one daily roundtrip voyage between Oahu and Maui. Beginning May 9, a second voyage will be added four days a week.
