Hawaii Superferry to suspend operations to fix ship

Hawaii Superferrys ship, the Alakai, will be in drydock from Feb. 13 to March 2 to fix the auxiliary rudders, parts that enhance passenger comfort.

Hawaii Superferry said it was taking advantage of the off-peak travel season to make the repairs. Service is expected to resume on March 3.

Passengers holding reservations for affected voyages are being notified, re-accommodated on a future voyage, or refunded and accommodated with partnering airlines and rental car companies, Superferry said.
