Hawaii boosts '09 tourism marketing by $2M

The Hawaii Tourism Authority approved an additional $2 million to market the state, increasing the HTA's 2009 budget for marketing to $55.5 million.

The extra $2 million will be reallocated from other HTA funds. Sharon Weiner, the HTA's vice chairwoman, said the board would take staff recommendations to determine where to spend the additional funds.
