The longtime president of the Hawaii Hotel & Lodging Association, Murray Towill, plans to retire in August, according to a Pacific Business News report.

The association's board of directors have discussed Towill's replacement, but there's been no official word about his successor.

According to the report, Towill, who led the nonprofit trade association for 18 years, plans to return to the U.S. mainland to be closer to family.
