Hawaiian Airlines welcomed the eighth Airbus A330-200 aircraft to its fleet May 21, utilizing the plane to operate the company’s Flight 3 from Los Angeles to Honolulu.

The plane, which will be used on Hawaiian’s long-haul routes in Asia, is the third A330 delivered to Hawaiian this year. The carrier expects to add a fourth in June and take delivery of 13 additional A330s between 2013 and 2015.

The latest A330 was used for training at New York's Kennedy Airport prior to its Los Angeles-Honolulu debut. Hawaiian will launch service between Kennedy and Hawaii’s capital June 4.
