Hawaiian Airlines begins Tokyo service, welcomes new Airbus

Hawaiian Airlines inaugurated its daily, nonstop service between Tokyo's downtown Haneda Airport and Honolulu on Nov. 17.

The carrier is the only U.S. airline offering service between Haneda and Honolulu.

In related news, Hawaiian welcomed a third Airbus A330-200 to its fleet on Nov. 11. The airline took delivery of its first two Airbus A330s earlier this year, and all three planes will eventually fly passengers between Honolulu and either Los Angeles or Las Vegas.

According to airline officials, Hawaiian plans to add up to 27 Airbus aircraft to its fleet by the end of the decade.
