Hawaiian Airlines announced an expanded codeshare agreement with JetBlue earlier this month.
The new deal means JetBlue can now place its B6 code on Hawaiian’s New York-to-Honolulu nonstop as well as connecting flights from the carrier’s East Coast network to Honolulu via Los Angeles. JetBlue’s code can also be placed Hawaiian’s range of interisland routes across the Aloha State.
Hawaiian will in turn be able to place its HA code, which has been available on a select collection of JetBlue flights since 2012, on an increased number of JetBlue’s U.S. mainland routes.
Travelers purchasing a codeshare itinerary featuring Hawaiian and JetBlue service can now have single tickets issued for flights operated by both carriers as well as one-stop check-in service and baggage transfers.
Meanwhile, customers belonging to either the Hawaiian Miles or JetBlue’s TrueBlue loyalty programs will also be able to earn and redeem points or miles for travel on either airline.
