Hawaiian Airlines charged passengers $67.8 million in baggage fees last year, an increase of more than $11 million from the year prior and a new 12-month record for the carrier.



Hawaiian finished 11th among U.S. carriers, according to a May 14 ranking released by the Department of Transportation.

Delta earned the top spot with $865.8 million in luggage fees, while United charged travelers $705.5 million.

Hawaiian was 10th on the DOT’s ranking of reservation and change fee charges, collecting $18.2 million, while Delta again earned the top spot with $778.3 million.
