More than 9.9 million passengers traveled on Hawaiian Airlines flights in 2013, an increase of 4.8% from the year prior and an all-time high for the 84-year-old company.



Hawaiian’s revenue passenger miles also increased substantially, jumping 12% year over year to more than 13.6 billion, according to figures released by the airline this month.

The carrier’s load factor dropped in 2013, however, slipping 1.7 percentage points, to 81.5%

Hawaiian’s passenger traffic was essentially flat in December, climbing less than 1%, to more than 818,000 travelers, while the carrier’s load factor for the month was also essentially unchanged year over year, at 80.2%.
