Honolulu fared well in the recently released CQ Press City Crime Rankings for 2010-2011 survey, finishing 272nd on a list of 400 cities with at least 75,000 residents.
The study, which ranked cities based on crime categories such as murder, robbery, rape, aggravated assault, burglary and motor vehicle theft, found that Colonie, N.Y., finished with the least amount of violent crime in 2009, earning the 400th place on the list and a score of -82.49. St. Louis finished in the No. 1 spot, with a 381.62. Honolulu earned a -15.70.
