Honolulu garnered high praise in the recent Conde Nast Travelers 2013 Readers' Choice Awards ranking of U.S. cities, landing fourth among the nation’s metropolises.

Earning a 79.5 rating from readers, Hawaii’s capital fared well thanks to its “endless beaches” and “constant sunshine.”

“The ‘genuine friendliness and hospitality’ of the people make Honolulu a major draw,” Conde Nast Traveler said in the ranking. “And the ocean views and fresh seafood ‘can't be beat.’”

Charleston, S.C., earned the ranking’s top spot with an 83.2 rating from readers while Santa Fe, N.M., and San Francisco rounded out the top three with ratings of 81.2 and 79.9 respectively.
