The Princeville Golf Course on Kauai’s North Shore will reopen Dec. 14 after more than 10 months of renovations.

Upgrades at the course included remodeling bunkers; widening fairways; clearing streams; leveling and adding tees; and an extensive refurbishment of the 66,000-square-foot clubhouse.

“Perhaps our most dramatic refinement efforts have been focused on the complete reconstruction of every green complex, recapturing hole locations that have been lost over time,” said the course’s designer, Robert Trent Jones, Jr., in a statement. “In addition, fairway mowing patterns have been widened dramatically to promote a more enjoyable experience for players of all skill levels.”

Golf Digest recognized the Princeville Golf Course on its 2011 list of “America’s 100 Greatest Courses.”

Officials are now accepting tee time reservations for play. For more on the course, fees or to schedule a tee time, visit www.princeville.com/golf.html.
