Big Island visitors can enjoy a day dedicated to one of Hawaii’s most beloved tropical fruits at the Fifth Annual Mango Festival July 20 at the Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay.

Loaded with a variety of mango-themed culinary and horticultural activities, the all-day festival is a terrific way for travelers to mix with local vendors and sample a range of mango-inspired treats.

The resort’s popular Rays on the Bay restaurant will also be offering samplings of new mango-inspired pupus, or appetizers, and refreshing, mango-themed beverages at the festival, which will be added to the restaurant’s menu afterward.

Home gardening fans can enjoy mango grafting presentations, purchase mango trees, and learn about the wide range of different mango varietals grown statewide from experts on hand from West Hawaii Master Gardener group.

The Mango Festival will also feature live music and entertainment along with educational presentations about sustainability and manta rays, which frequently feed just off shore from the hotel and are visible almost every night from the property’s Rays on the Bay restaurant.
